In the modern world of pharma & biotech, going from a basic scientific discovery or therapeutic insight to successful commercialization of an asset is no easy task. The Toronto chapter of LES is proud to bring you this session focused on life science licensing deals featuring an esteemed panel of experts from the US and Canada. The session will start with a discussion focused on an understanding of deal expectations (including key insights from the 2016 LES LS Royalty Rates & Deal Terms Survey) and deal trends (based on a review of recent deals). The discussion will include simple recommendations that can help your organization set reasonable expectations for deals and the deal-making process. Additionally, we will look at the focus of recent deal-making and transactions (e.g., where do we see VCs and companies investing). We will conclude with an interactive workshop that will provide real world experiences from our panel.
